The Problem
Observing parts of the society facing disconnection from nature, eroded community bonds, and a lack of holistic education. These issues manifest in various forms, such as unsustainable living practices, fragmented communities, and educational systems that overlook the importance of environmental consciousness, cultural diversity, personal well-being and spiritual connection.

Sowing Change with a Cultural Center
Our Cultural Center is a hub of holistic education, sustainability, cultural exchange, and community development. It serves as a model of community-led efforts, driven by our shared dreams and talents, to forge the positive transformation we envision for our society.
The creation and support for our Cultural Center will also serve to host the development of the Coliazul Waldorf-inspired Community Project, as an important offering to provide holistic education to children.
Birthing our Cultural Center

The Cultural Center is a pioneering space of environmental stewardship, community-led development and cultural enrichment.
Our Cultural Center’s architecture, rooted in the unique “intuitive holistic architecture” approach by Reinhard Coppenrath, is connected deeply with the situation, the place and the needs of the people. By this all buildings are naturally supporting new learning, deep encounters between people and a profound contact with Nature.
In our design we have looked for a genuine exchange with the environment, a conversation with Nature, how our architect is naming this, in âpartnership with Nature herselfâ, rather than an imposition upon it.
Proven âIntuitive-Holisticâ design processes, developed over the last 40 years by architect Reinhard Coppenrath, mean that our centre will grow directly from the energy of the site and have a profound supportive effect.
The architectural plan evolves organically, starting with open-roof structures, or “ranchos,” ideal for tropical climates. Central to the layout is a communal plaza, featuring a Maloka (open pavilion), surrounded by versatile classroom buildings, a kitchen, and an event space. Utilizing local and eco-friendly materials like bamboo and rammed earth ensures durability, suitability for the tropics, and acoustic quality for classrooms. This simple yet effective design aligns with our vision of a sustainable, community-driven space.
Funding for Milestone #1 – $89,500

Multifunctional Workshop Building
Bamboo construction. Creative workshop, Classroom, Temporary kitchen, Bamboo storage, Staff area
Classroom 1
Bamboo construction with rammed earth wall for sound insulation with natural ventilation. Space for creative Waldorf lesson. A âsecondâ home for the children. Water collecting roof.
Maloca
Bamboo construction. Fire space and gatherings. Circle meetings.
Toilet facilities
The two seasons of our region in Costa Rica, rainy and dry season, set a special rhythm for our construction campaign.
In the dry season, we have to build foundations and assemble the bamboo construction, so that we can build roofs for the rainy season.
The more roofs we create now, the more rooms, walls and floors etc. we can build under the roof in the rainy season.
The most of the bamboo for this first step has already been donated by the known neighboring HOME Farm Community and harvested by our parents and friends.
The Allies

Finding a home for this important initiative has taken us into the journey of uniting allies in our collective dream of birthing the Cultural Center.
Our synergy is enhanced by a shared commitment to community-driven development and regeneration, making the Cultural Center a model for future initiatives.
Coliazul Community Project
We bring a passion for holistic education, lifelong learning and an enrichment of our diverse cultures.
Diamante Luz
Our dedication to permaculture practice and land stewardship rights ensures that the Cultural Center is properly supported in becoming a hub for human connection and a testament to living in balance with nature.
As stewards we get to care for and share resources that have been committed for use in the development of the local communityâs resilience, relatedness, and revitalization. Striving for a deeper connection to the wisdom of our Mother Earth, we bring our expertise in regenerative living to this project by securing the land in perpetual trust, and granting use to this project for the benefit of the whole.
Diamante Bridge Collective
As a bridge between global regenerative projects and local communities, our role is to weave networks, provide community governance expertise, and facilitate resource sharing and stewarding, ensuring the project’s alignment with ecological wellness and social equity.
Mother Earth
The foundation of our project is the deep respect for and alignment with the web of life. Our approach to building and community development is guided by ecological consciousness and a commitment to preserving and nurturing the environment in service of the greater complexity of life on our planet and humanityâs endeavor as protectors of our home.
