On July 4th, Coliazul was honored to participate in a tree-planting community action day, aptly named Interdependence Day, organized by the Earthwaking Village family. This event was guided by the wisdom and expertise of Tree Jenny and her dedicated forestry crew from Community Carbon Trees.
Community Carbon Trees, founded by Tree Jenny (instagram: @treejenny), is an organization dedicated to restoring ecosystems, enhancing biodiversity, and mitigating climate change through the planting of trees. Their mission is to improve soil health, protect water reservoirs, and create a positive impact on the atmosphere by planting thousands of trees with the support of a dedicated crew of land stewards.
Tree Jenny, renowned for her profound love for trees and her impactful landscape restoration projects, led the day with her contagious passion. During this event, Tree Jenny took extra time to guide our Coliazul crew, sharing her knowledge and love for trees. She emphasized the importance of healing ourselves through healing the land. Our team had an amazing time making a significant impact by nurturing our water sources and enhancing biodiversity through the profound act of planting trees.
We are grateful for this enriching experience and look forward to more collaborative efforts to heal our environment. Thank you, Tree Jenny, Community Carbon Trees, and the Earthwaking Village family, for inviting us to be a part of this wonderful initiative. Together, we are making a lasting impact on our planet and our community.
